Jim Goodell

Jim Goodell, founder and producer/directorof Bella Voce Cabaret, is truly a versatile performer – bass-baritone vocalist, voice actor, dramatic actor and broadcaster. His vocal/performance training began at Shenandoah Conservatory of Music in Winchester, VA, continuing with private NY- and FL-based studies. Performance highlights include: Bass/Baritone Soloist with the St. Augustine Orchestra & Chorus – Handel’s “Messiah” & “Judas Maccabeus,” Braham’s “German Requiem,” Faure’s “Requiem” and Orff’s “Carmina Burana;” Prince Yamadori in the First Coast Opera’s Production of “Madama Butterfly;” and Smuggler/Soldier in Bizet’s “Carmen” with the Jacksonville Symphony featuring Metropolitan Opera Star, Victoria Livengood. Jim also sang the role of Jesus in the U.S.A. premier of Jose de Jesus Ravelo’s “Resurrection of Christ.”

As a radio personality, Jim can be heard on WFCF 88.5 FM St. Augustine hosting a weekly, two-hour, radio show celebrating the classically trained voice. His commercial work has aired on 93.0 The Fox AM, 96.9 FM, Comcast Cable Television in Jacksonville and on the World Wide Web with Casablanca Film Productions. Jim is also the Telephone Voice for several Jacksonville-based businesses.
 
Jim and his wife, Chris, are music directors at Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church in Ponte Vedra Beach, FL.
